We found Mobikasa on Shopify Experts Portal and they were also recommended by some of my colleagues in the office who met their team in a local business conference where the conversation was initiated. We had 3 other companies as our options and while having discussions with all of them we explained them the project and our vision about it. Time and budget were major factors while hiring any of them. According to the present stage of the company the lead time provided by other companies was not suitable and we found Mobikasa as the best option amongst them for our project.
Did you have some documents like wireframes ready or you just had an idea when you approached this company?
We had a website portal for our company but our aim is to become India’s top gifting portals for which we needed a lot of improvements on our website. We also needed to scale up our business and reach the right customers at the right time. The navigation, look and feel of the portal was poor so we needed to improve it. We also needed to make improvements in inventory controls. We wanted them to redevelop almost the whole website for better and effective working of the business.
How was the first few interaction with this company, did you find anything interesting in first few interactions that helped you decided on hiring this company?
Mobikasa was having extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of web development and experienced work related to this field in recent projects they have done. Also during the discussion, they were able to understand our vision and could relate to our revenue model better than the other companies did. When we were going through the case studies presented by them we found they were promising and their team was friendly in nature which led us to hire them for our project.
How did the process look like? How often were you interacting with company representatives?
While planning about the designing, re-development, approvals, system configurations and launch, the whole process of the project was divided into 3 phases. Their team along with MangoPeopleShop’s design team started searching for ideas and suggestions for the desktop and mobile version of the portal. After this the execution was taken further. In every 2 weeks the functional versions of the portal were user tested and the sorting wsearchingas done each time with the help of their developers. After the successful delivery of the website the second phase which is the Android and iOS app development was started by them. To help us in the smooth operations for order dispatch, new features from the third-party app were introduced. To reach the target audience the marketing and SEO team of their company started working on ads on Facebook and Google. IVR Calling systems and COD confirmations were done for increasing customer satisfaction. A POS system for brand awareness and interactive activities for consumer behavior analysis was also introduced. It has also enabled us to generate leads from corporations and immediate customer feedback.
They provided us with a project manager who was the main point of contact for all the activities. We communicated well with all the departments whenever there was a need on Skype, whatsapp,phone calls and meetings.
How involved were you in the whole process? How did company tackle changing requirements or budgets?
The team was very approachable at all times and have been supportive enough for our business ideas and any changes that were required to be made during the whole process. They were flexible and very understanding during the process of development. They solved the queries and faced all the challenges they met during the project. They made all the necessary changes that were required.
In terms of timeline, how frequently were the milestones delivered? Were you happy with the timeline of the deliverables?
As expected they delivered the project on time with the best work they could do for us. They launched the website and app earlier than expected. They were able to reach our goal of enhancing user interface and experience on the web portal and increase our search rankings. The new and additional features they added to our website lead to 170% increase in the traffic on our website and conversion rates by 1%. The investors, Board of Directors and our team have been praising their performance and have renewed the agreement and have on-boarded Mobikasa as a long term partner in our firm.

The way in which Mobikasa presented their portfolio and their client list and also how interested their business analyst was, were quite impressive. They tried to understand our problem and focus on finding ways to solve it rather than selling their services to us. We also wanted a local developer for our project as we wanted to be able to visit their offices or have them work at ours for the project.

With the increasing level of our business we were facing issues in working across the two locations i.e. warehouse and online channels. We needed to find a solution for tracking our online orders and matching them with those sales in our internal CRM. We hired Mobikasa for creating a payment solution that could capture all of the sales and operational information and integrate it with our internal CRM.

While selecting the company for our project we found Mobikasa’s portfolio and their client’s list and also the business investor analyst impressive. They were localite and this made our decision easy and we decided to hire them for our project.
How did the process look like? How often were you interacting with company representatives?
They initially allocated a business analyst who helped us in understanding our project and then helped in finding a solution and reframe it in project scope. We together created the wireframe, design and finally a functional system. They build the solution using Nodejs, to capture a lot of information throughout the process. The app has been completed and the website development is being carried out. We regularly communicated on Skype and also visited their office several times.

We worked with the project manager and he gave us all the necessary updates about the project. The business analyst was very helpful and worked with us on new ideas and challenges. They delivered and completed every task provided to them on time. They made all the necessary changes whenever required.
In terms of timeline, how frequently were the milestones delivered? Were you happy with the timeline of the deliverables?
The project was completed on time and all the things which needed to be upgraded were also being updated within the timeframe. Their development quality is really amazing and the product they delivered was very impressive. The new payment/warehouse management system has completely streamlined our internal processes. It tracks everything and it has made the work of our staff much easier to follow. They have helped our business by identifying our goals and looking at the functionality and business logic more easily.
