The best way to describe working with MichiganLabs is ... “it’s just easy.” Our development cycles are short and deliver incremental success. I wanted to build an application for a children's book and they created the application from scratch.

I am an author of children's joke books and I was looking for creating an app for the books which kids can enjoy. I wanted it to be fun and interactive. Michigan Software Labs developed the iOS app from scratch and we are currently working on the Android version. My main point of contact was Mark (Co-founder and Managing Director, Michigan Software Labs). We had in-person meetings and also communicated via emails and phone calls.

Our partnership is in the early stage but I am quite involved in the process. Michigan Software Labs has a very talented and creative team that produces high-quality results. Their communication is also very efficient and they are always open to feedback. I never had any difficulty working with them so far.

We are in the initial phase of our partnership and they've developed the iOS app. We started working in Feb 2018 and we are currently working on the Android version of the app. The deliverables have met the deadlines so far. I've already experienced an increase in book sales which is the result of the efforts made by Michigan Software Labs.

I searched for the local app development companies online and interviewed them. Michigan Software Labs was the most appropriate one for my project so I hired them.

We had the concept of building an app that can trace and manage our orders. We collaborated with Michigan Software Labs on design and wireframes and they wrote all the codes for the app.

During the interview and screening process, Michigan Software Labs seemed to be the most skilled company in our locality that's why we chose to work with them.
How did the process look like? How often were you interacting with company representatives?
We are an automotive company and we wanted to build an app that can track our parts on their journey from our locations to the installers. Michigan Software Labs created the mobile app and integrated it with our legacy desktop system. They built each key feature we required including a function that could track vehicle locations and one that could scan UPCs on our parts to verify they were packed in the right delivery. Mark (Co-Founder, Michigan Solution Labs) was our main point of contact. We communicated via Slack and tracked the progress of our project on Jira.
How involved were you in the whole process? How did company tackle changing requirements or budgets?
We were closely involved in the entire process. Michigan Software Labs were flexible and supportive throughout the initial project, from design to development. They added all the key features we requested. I just wish they were more transparent regarding the price creep. But otherwise, it's been a perfect experience working with them so far.
In terms of timeline, how frequently were the milestones delivered? Were you happy with the timeline of the deliverables?
They have delivered the milestones within the timeline so far. We haven't fully rolled out the tool yet but it's being used in around 10 stores. We have received positive feedback so far and Michigan Software Labs is helping us to implement the suggestions we have received.

The first few interactions with Michigan Software Labs were great. They jumped right in, figuring out our business and asking minimal questions along the way. They made an effort to understand our business and that's why we hired them.

Michigan Software Labs worked on recreating the front-end of the portal using Vue.js and JavaScript. They designed the portal and recreated the equipment list, ticket creation function, wizard processes, and user interfaces on the backend of our API. We met weekly with the team for planning sessions. Our main point of contact was Mark (Managing Partner, Michigan Software Labs). We used Slack for communication.

We were involved in the process through weekly meetings and planning sessions. They were very flexible and available all the time. Their project management was outstanding and they always addressed our issues quickly.

We started working with them in August 2018 and our platform went live in November 2018. All the milestones were delivered within the timeline. We have received positive feedback and more business accounts because of the new look and feel and the usability of the platform.
